Captain Boberg
In February this year I was on an Air New Zealand flight from Christchurch to Auckland when it was announced that the Captain was none other than Paul Boberg whom many of you will know as a long time club member. Needless to say I immediately tried to get off the flight but the aircraft was already taxiing to the runway and they wouldn’t let me leave.
After a great flight the air bridge at Auckland failed and we had to wait a few minutes while some stairs were found. All was explained when I spoke to Paul as we disembarked; it was Paul’s first official flight as Captain of a 737 and Mr Murphy was not about to let such an occasion go too smoothly.
Congratulations to Paul on reaching a great career milestone.
