Christiania Derby 2010 Results

The first interclub race of the 2010 season was the 53rd Christiania Derby. Once again, this proved to again be a tightly contested event between clubs.

Snow conditions and visibility were variable resulting in kick off being delayed until 11am.  Cloud seemed to encompass the mountain, with visibility varying between 10 and 100 meters.  The race track itself wise nice and hard; if you could see it enough to stay on it.

Rangatira teams performed very well, with three new trophies gracing our wall.

Kenna Rowe

Men’s Team – 2nd Place
Mark Fairley, Anton Haueter, Rob Yallop, Anthony Strevens.

Masters Team – 3rd Place
John Tamis, Shirley Kennet, Roger Wimsett, Adrian Esdaile.

A big thank you and congratulations for all of you for committing to represent us and producing another rewarding result in less than desirable conditions; especially our first time racers. We hope to see some more of you giving racing ago in the future.
