Whakapapa, August 25 & 26

Fantastic weather, huge crowds, snow firm in the morning then softening from 11:00 onwards. Semi-icy patches on Sunday.

There isn’t much snow at the Top of the Bruce but artificial snow means Happy Valley and the Rock Garden have good coverage. Broken Leg Gully is good at the moment but the Pinnacles are very icy.  The Far West T-bar is open at last and has plenty of snow as you would expect.

Whakapapa opened at 07:30 on both days so you can get quite a few early runs in if you’re keen.

Also spotted back from Europe were Gina Esdaile and Mike & Gaileen McGivern.  Great to see you at the Club guys.
