Work Parties - Summer 2010

The maintenance team is planning a number of work parties over the summer months at both lodges and while the tradesmen among the club members will be in demand so too will volunteers to carry out a number of less ‘technical’ tasks.

The club does rely on your involvement with maintenance items and every member attending a work party is credited with a free weekend, fuel costs are reimbursed and meals are provided.

Turoa work scheduled to include:

  • Upgrade of bathrooms & laundry
  • Improvement of storage in bunk rooms
  • Gardening and increase in parking
  • General smaller maintenance items
  • Honours boards to install

Iwikau work scheduled to include:

  • Repair of snow battens on roof
  • Repair of crack in water tank
  • General smaller maintenance items
  • Honours boards to install
