Fantastic weather, huge crowds, snow firm in the morning then softening from 11:00 onwards. Semi-icy patches on Sunday.

Once again Rangatira had impressive representation at the 50th Christiana Ski Club Derby. Despite the horrid conditions we entered five teams in total: 1 Masters, 1 Mens, 2 Womens, 1 Juniors team and 3 individual Snowboarders.

The extensions are now in use at Turoa. These include the new lounge and the ski storage/workshop. This also doubles up as a bike storage room.

HEAD makes great ski equipment which has been very popular in recent years. Adrian Farnsworth, Managing Director of New Zealand HEAD distributor M.A. Recreational Sport Ltd, has been generous in supplying equipment for Club prizes and the Junior Scholarship.
Snowcentre have hosted the Club's annual pre-season social for many years and always chips in with spot prizes. All Club members are also entitled to a 10% discount at any of Snowcentre's locations at Newmarket, Snow Planet (Silverdale) and Ohakune. (and yes, they do stock HEAD)
