The weekend started out to be a closed-in wet and snowy affair, with not much hope of getting on the hill. After much expert debating and surmising, the team at the lodge decided we may get a window of opportunity for the event on the Sunday.
After a night of belittling the election hopefuls and destroying the dress sense of some of our prospective leaders, we arrived at a morning of fresh snow, cleared roads and keen athletes. The Sunday morning drive up the road was filled with fairy land pictures of fresh snow on the trees lining the road before the mountain opened up in all its glory. What we all viewed was akin to a free rider’s paradise; fresh snow everywhere.Read more...

President’s Weekend is an open invitation to all adult members - no special invites are issued. It’s a ‘kid free’ event combined with the senior club champs. The weekend does have a theme, a fabulous dinner with wine, on Saturday night. The ‘races’ are strictly amateur and the course is set to ensure that even a ‘first timer’ going through the gates doesn’t feel too daunted. There are trophies up for grabs for both males & females in age groups as well as the overall club champions.Read more...

The committee currently has a membership marketing drive underway to attract 50 new members this year. This will allow us to maintain annual subs and nightly tariffs at an affordable rate for you and at the same time continue to upgrade and maintain the lodges.
Click on the picture below to download a poster (pdf 1MB) which you may like to print and put on your notice board at work, or perhaps at your gym or sports club, to advertise that we have membership open.
Thank you all for your support with this,

We are going to hold another three night/day reunion for foundation, present and ex-members who now are into their retirement years and would like to rekindle past friendship or association. Reliving those exciting growth and fun times, sharing and swapping stories, remembering one another; be it at work parties, skiing or at play.
Many would have liked to have attended last year, but did not due to prior engagements or not being able to, physically/health-wise, climb up to Iwikau lodge.
This time we will all reunite at our Turoa lodge in Ohakune, which will be more accessible and desirable.Read more...
