Monique Oosterbaan Selected for 2009 World University Games
Monique has had another great season training and competing in the South Island and has been chosen to compete in China at the 2009 World University Winter Games.
Monique came 2nd in the NZ University Slalom and 3rd in the NZ University Giant Slalom. To be eligible to compete you must be a full time university student in New Zealand. Monique commenced her studies in Business Enterprise Development at Massey University Albany this year; with her second semester being by correspondence during her ski race training in Wanaka. She is very pleased to have made the New Zealand team to travel to China where she will compete in Slalom, GS and Super G.
Monique’s best national result was 3rd in slalom and 3rd combined at the Coronet Cup in Queenstown.
Well done Monique!
