Each year the club runs junior club races and prizes are awarded by age categories. Entry is free and open to all ages up to 18 years (at 1 January 2011).

See here for age group details (note, the recent email notice stated last seasons age groups; the website has the correct 2012 age groups).

This year we have some fabulous prizes up for grabs as well as trophies and medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters. There is also a great party at the lodge straight after skiing.

You don’t need to be experienced with racing as the course will be designed for all levels of ability – it’s all about having fun.

From Sunday 16th October you can take guests to either lodge at members' rates; this is a great way to introduce your friends as potential new members.

There are still plenty of bunks available for the second week of the school holidays (which includes the 16th of October onwards).

This year we are holding an ‘end of year’ get together at the Wintergarden Restaurant in the Auckland Domain on the 12th of November. Tickets are limited to 100 and are selling fast. It’s not a Ball, so no need to dress up too fancy, but we do have a live band!

WoW.. What a fantastic 2011 Interclub race season. Rangatira teams won 9 places over the 3 race days, including winning the Ngauruhoe Trophy for the first time since 1989.

We should all be very proud of all those who participated and especially those who contributed to winning these places, proving once again we have a great club, with a fantastic culture that fosters and supports this exciting past time.

Many thanks must to given to the committee and all those parents, partners and supporters who all help us get there on the day and celebrate in Rangatira style after each event.

These are all team efforts and without everybody working together as we have done, none of these results would have been possible. This was our strongest performance yet, with a plan of many more seasons like this in the future.

We’re really looking forward to some of our younger racers graduating from the junior categories, and with such a strong calibre of them, this shall continue challenging the rest of us to be at our best.
