2016 Scholarship This year Rangatira Scholarship was made up of 7 boys. They had a great day skiing with Mark Fairley on Saturday, rest day Sunday and then into training on Monday with the instructor. As a result of bad weather, activities involved all the kids in the lodge, so a PACK of 15 kids walked to Old Coach road on Sunday and completed an Amazing race through the streets of Ohakune on Thursday – 6kms according to some, to end up at the Eclair shop for lunch. The Scholars got to try some race training on the Tuesday and as a result we have some new recruits for the Rangatira Race team for 2017. Some parents also tried to secure their spot as well! It was great to see all kids participating in the activities each night and we have some great photos and commentary that will be shown at prize giving in November. Liam Morell was voted scholar of the year by his peers and also picked up the cup for the most improved awarded by the instructor . Big thanks to all the parents involved , your time, enthusiasm and ideas for activities made for a great week .
