Booking Rules
Bookings are accepted from financial members on this official booking form or a photocopy accompanied by the correct payment. (No post dated cheques or Cash please)Bookings must be received six days before the first night. The custodian is notified of the following weeks bookings on Thursdays. Bookings for Fridays onwards (the booking week) will have to be confirmed with the lodge custodian. (please phone the lodge)
Telephone, faxed or email bookings will only be accepted if a credit is held by the booking officer.
Telephone calls will be answered by the booking officer on Tuesday and Wednesday 7.00pm to 8.30pm only. Messages may be left on the answer-phone outside these hours. Calls will be returned as soon as possible.
Child and junior bookings (under 18 years) must show the name of the member sponsoring that person. The member is responsible for the child or junior and must be staying at the lodge at the same time.
Bookings for guests must be completed by the sponsoring member who is then responsible for that guest. Guests who are waitlisted may have their bookings confirmed on the Tuesday preceding the booking week in question (booking weeks start on Friday night). A maximum of 5 guests may be pre-confirmed at Ohakune lodge on Fridays and Saturdays (none at Iwikau lodge). More guests can stay, but will not be confirmed until the Tuesday preceding the booking week in question. Also, no guests will be pre-confirmed during school holidays.
Cancellations: All cancellations will occur a fee of $10.00 per booking. To be eligible for a refund, cancellations must be received by the Booking Officer by 8pm Sunday before the weekend or weekday of the booking week in question. Cancellations will be credited to the account of the person who forwarded the original booking. Bookings are not transferable between members and guests.
Holiday Cancellations: Holiday cancellations must be received two full weeks prior to the commencement of school holidays to be eligible for a refund. Cancellation fee still applies.
Duties: Whilst staying at the lodge for members and guests alike are responsible for the duties allocated to them by the lodge custodian.
Room Vacate: members and guests must vacate rooms by 4.00pm.
Iwikau: No under 3 year olds at this lodge.
Meals: Members arriving must advise the lodge custodian before 9am on the previous day if they require dinner.
