Rangatira offers an annual scholarship to eight or so junior and youth members aged 12 to 14. Scholarship normally involves a week of ski instruction as a group in the school holidays plus another one or two weekends skiing as a supervised group.

The club pays for a ski instructor from Monday through Friday of Scholarship week and all scholars receive free accommodation on these nights.
